This project endeavored to create a high quality single dwelling within the existing fabric of a Grade II listed building, maximising a feeling of space and grandeur appropriate to the existing building and its location.
The proposal included the introduction of a double height space to the living area through the simplification of the roof truss structure to the fifth floor living area, cinema and snooker room. The new structure significantly improved the usability of the space, but did not require the removal of, or any alterations to, the existing roof or external walls. MWA worked in close collaboration with the client and our in-house interior designer to ensure a high quality of finish.
