Marek Wojciechowski Architects were appointed by a private end-user client in 2012 for the substantial redevelopment of their home. MWA worked up proposals involving the significant extentions and alterations to this unique 19th Century semi-detached villa in the St. John’s Wood Conservation Area.
The proposals included the reconstruction behind a retained façade and the creation of a secluded garden enclosed by two largely glazed new-build 'pavilions'.
The pavilion buildings are designed to delicately connect with the host house, respecting and enhancing its historic form.
Once complete, the property will be doubled in size from 3,380sqft to a 7,390sqft private family home, including a new basement level complete with gymnasium, spa and cinema room.
