MWA were approached by a private end user client in 2013 to explore proposals for the full refurbishment of an existing 3-storey residential property, situated adjacent to the Lords Cricket Ground Warner Stand within the St. John’s Wood Conservation Area. With the timely approval of planning consents by Westminster City Council, works commenced on site in spring 2014 and were successfully completed by May 2015.
The existing brown brick property was extensively remodelled with new fenestration to all elevations, a new zinc mansard and second floor rear extension.
The house benefits from an expansive private driveway and secluded garden which were both extensively re-modelled as part of the works.
Internally, the reception rooms to the ground floor and 5no. suited bedrooms across the first and second floors radiate from a central void and feature staircase, leading to a private roof terrace.
The project is underpinned by a neutral finishes palate, both internally and externally, creating a harmonious space.
