Located within an exclusive collection of houses surrounding Belgravia's Chester Square, MWA were appointed to restore and enrich the interiors of this Grade II listed building, as a single residence. The property was originally designed by Thomas Cubitt as part of the extensive development of Belgravia over the 18th and 19th centuries, featuring the original decorative mouldings and grand staircase. The main building facing Chester Square is now connected on three levels to the rear mews house on Ebury Mews East, providing extensive additional accommodation and an internal central courtyard.
MWA worked closely with conservation experts, Westminster City Council and English Heritage to ensure the character of this grand property was retained and enhanced by the proposed works.
An extensive landscaped roof terrace was created to the mews house and a new spa area created in the existing Basement. Upper floors are complete with luxury interiors incorporating bespoke furniture and fittings.
